May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.

Romans 15:13 (AMP)

Hope is a powerful force. Hope will motivate you toward the greatest life possible. Hope will propel you to be YOU. Hope looks at the outward circumstances and believes in the promises of God. When the economy is down, when the report is negative, when the marriage is bad, Hope says, “All of this can change. God is good and He’s going to help me through this to get to a brighter tomorrow.”

Hope is a vital component you must possess along your journey of being YOU.

When I was teenager, I had no hope. My life was visionless, and I didn’t believe anything would ever change. I was completely hopeless. So I medicated my pain through an endless cycle of drug use. And then one day, I met my spiritual father, Julius Young. He looked up at me and said, “Big Red, you can change.” I don’t know why or how those words made such an impact in my life, but when I heard them, all of a sudden hope was birthed in my heart. Hope hit me, and I began to believe my life could change. One year later, I was in Bible school, and shortly after that I met Wendy. I’m so glad my life intersected with Julius and with the hope of God.

Whatever area of your life, big or small, that seems hopeless, let me assure you: God is your source of hope. And He will fill you completely with joy and peace when you trust in him. No matter how big that hopelessness might appear to be, God is bigger. He’s big enough to overflow that emptiness with His powerful force of hope. If He did it for me when I was a rebellious drug addict and convict, He will most certainly do it for you. Hope in God. You can trust Him.
