Maintenance Technician, Federal way (Full-time)

Provides routine building and property maintenance services as directed by the Operations Director. Is responsible for all landscaping and volunteer scheduling.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Skills in the practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in building maintenance
  • Light construction experience desired
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing, with management and contractors
  • Skilled in areas of landscaping: mowing, weeding, fertilizing, trimming shrubs, and sprinkler systems

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the complete landscape at campus, including mowing, weeding, fertilizing, thatching, trimming, edging, and watering with sprinkler systems
  • Recruit and oversee volunteers to help with landscape
  • Performs maintenance task requests daily
  • Assists the Building Director in the operation of property, equipment and systems
  • Assists in various event projects; setup, and tear down

Maintenance Technician, Mill Creek (Full-Time)

The Maintenance Technician performs routine building and property maintenance services as directed by the Facilities Manager.  Assists in the operation of building equipment and systems.  This individual must be hard working, able to lift loads of 75 pounds, and have a heart to serve people.

General Duties and Attributes:

  • Skilled in the practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in building maintenance
  • Demonstrates ability to read, interpret, and work from Blueprints, drawings, and broken parts
  • Light construction experience desired
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing, with management and contractors
  • Good background in the installation, maintenance and service of electrical, plumbing, and related systems, equipment and fixtures
  • Use of computer for email correspondence and other simple programs
  • Assists the Facilities Manager in the operation of property, equipment and systems
  • Performs routine building, grounds, and equipment maintenance under the direction of Facilities Manager.
  • Performs landscape maintenance duties outdoors regularly
  • Performs maintenance task requests daily
  • Reports any mechanical or operating deficiencies found
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager

Custodial Lead, Federal Way (Full-Time)

The Custodial Lead is responsible for the preparation of church and school facilities for meetings, classes and various events and for the direction of custodians and/or volunteers in the same. Assignments include cleaning, room setup/teardown, landscape maintenance, building security, and various other duties. This individual must be hard working, able to lift loads of 75 pounds, and have a heart to serve people.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of facility pertaining to activities and events.  Includes communicating with event leaders and serving their needs.
  • Supervision of paid Custodial employees.  Directing employees in the course of work.
  • Recruiting of volunteers for serving in the Custodial Department.  Directing volunteers in the course of work.
  • Cleaning of facilities including office spaces, bathrooms, classrooms, meeting rooms, and auditoriums.
  • Set up of various equipment for classes and events.
  • Security of facilities, locking and unlocking of doors, responding to security incidents that may be posed by individuals on CF property.
  • Operation of security and fire alarms.
  • Lifting loads of 75 pounds.
  • Grounds/landscaping clean up and various projects.
  • Use of computer for email correspondence and other simple programs.
  • Cleaning of carpets with professional carpet cleaning equipment.
  • Stripping, waxing and buffing of hard floors.
  • May include inventorying and ordering of custodial supplies.
  • Demonstrating a professional, friendly, and helpful attitude toward fellow employees and the public and all times.

Saturday Night Classroom Leads (Part-Time)

The Classroom Lead is responsible for providing oversight, planning, and ensuring their assigned children’s classroom is a secure, nurturing environment where each child will see, hear, and feel the love of Jesus. The Classroom Lead will be responsible for running their children’s ministry classroom during our Saturday night service & kids club after service.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and teach classroom bible lesson for assigned classroom each week. 
  • Incorporate and implement age appropriate crafts for assigned classroom each week.
  • Lead assigned class for the day.
  • Make sure class is clean and stocked with supplies before leaving.
  • Oversee the assigned classroom.
  • Create a fun, safe, Jesus-centered environment.
  • Demonstrate a positive and friendly attitude with the parents and the children who are in your care.
  • Implement and maintain policies and procedures that ensure the physical and emotional safety, as well as the security of children in your care.
  • Communicate consistently with parents/guardians, and supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must love people and children. 
  • Possess a flexible attitude with experience in working with both young children and parents.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Satisfactory background check.
  • Dependable.  
  • A person exhibiting Christian faith and commitment with a consistent testimony.
  • Part-time 6 hrs/wk (Saturday nights 4:15 pm – 9:15 pm).
